My friends, I wonder if you are like me ... do you feel that Christmas has become something completely "other" than what we originally deemed the date for in celebration of the birthday of the Christ's birth on December 25? Although it's not the exact birthdate of Christ, the fact remains, we have set aside a time that is to be honoring of the biggest birthday that ever deserved to be celebrated. Forgive. You've Been Forgiven. Mornings are a great time to pray, the earlier, the better because the house is quiet and the demands for my attention are just about nil. Not only that but, biblically, there is a clear precedent throughout the Word of God that establishes a model of rising early and having a designated place to pray.
