It's Not What We Say, It's What We Do

It’s What We Do Our scripture verses for Today's Devotional are taken from 1 John 3:18 and James 2:14-26 . True love should reveal itself with practical acts of kindness. It’s very difficult to convince our unsaved loved ones or those we encounter in the workplace that Jesus is real unless we are willing to stretch out a hand of compassion, extending God’s love in a tangible way. 1 John 3:18 AMP Little children (believers, dear ones), let us not love [merely in theory] with word or with tongue [giving lip service to compassion], but in action and in truth [in practice and in sincerity, because practical acts of love are more than words]. James 2:14-26 NKJV 14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body

Choosing God’s Best

Our scripture verses for Today's Devotional  are taken from Jeremiah 29:11 and Deuteronomy 30:19 . Everyday life choices can be overwhelming, but God’s word promises that He orders the steps of the righteous. Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: When God says He's predestined our life, it does not mean that we are currently living out the good plans He has for us. The scriptures tell us over and over that we are agents of free will. So much

DON'T WASTE THIS TRIAL

By the time you read this, you too will have had a direct impact by the COVID-19 Coronavirus. It's been a strange and difficult time for many, and for the moment, while we are hibernating and social distancing world-wide, to flatten the curve, many are waiting out the storm, having our patience tested, but mindful of the need of why we need to be careful with person to person contact. In the mean time, our finances are taking a hit, our health is at stake, and we are feeling a gamut of emotions from concern over our future all the way to excitement of God's hand at work and the possible witness to the unfolding of the end times we have been reading about and studying for so many years. Even more, our faith is being tested wondering what the Lord has in store.  Jeremiah 29:11 remind us, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you, plans to give you hope and a future." It can be an anxiety and fear-filled experience, if
