DON'T WASTE THIS TRIAL

By the time you read this, you too will have had a direct impact by the COVID-19 Coronavirus. It's been a strange and difficult time for many, and for the moment, while we are hibernating and social distancing world-wide, to flatten the curve, many are waiting out the storm, having our patience tested, but mindful of the need of why we need to be careful with person to person contact. In the mean time, our finances are taking a hit, our health is at stake, and we are feeling a gamut of emotions from concern over our future all the way to excitement of God's hand at work and the possible witness to the unfolding of the end times we have been reading about and studying for so many years. Even more, our faith is being tested wondering what the Lord has in store.  Jeremiah 29:11 remind us, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you, plans to give you hope and a future." It can be an anxiety and fear-filled experience, if ...

He Really Does Have a Plan!

HE REALLY DOES HAVE  A PLAN FOR YOU FROM INFERTILITY TO A NEW FAMILY God can heal your broken heart, give you the desires of your heart and do immeasurably more than you could ever ask or imagine!  My husband and I struggled down a long road of infertility – six years of heartbreak. Six years of crying out to the Lord and not understanding why. Why was I not able to conceive a baby? The infertility was “unexplained,” just silence.   On the window sill of my kitchen sat a plaque with this verse from Ephesians 3:20, “Now to Him who can do immeasurably more than we could ever ask or imagine according to the power that is within us.” I started praying this verse over my life DAILY.   While I waited and prayed for the Lord to give me an answer about my infertility, I focused on giving birth to a business, so to speak. In 1999 I started Optimal Mobility Solutions. I was an Occupational Therapist who specialized in teaching people with disabilities ho...

LIES WE BELIEVE

The Lies We Believe John 8:31-32, " So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, 'If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; t hen you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.'  "   I learned this fact a long time ago that is still applicable to every area of our walk with God, and that fact is this, that  Satan will establish a platform of a lie in our life as early as he can — for his wiles and modus operandi to kill, steal, and destroy. The earlier in our lives he can plant his bitter root – the better. He works diligently at keeping his agenda in place in our mind that naturally floods down into the heart. Over time, he and our own minds, our flesh, remind us of his and other’s damaging messages to keep us defeated and ineffective in God’s realm of work. If he can convince us to exchange truth, or even our lack of wisdom and knowledge of truth, for a lie that is highly self-and-other-destructive, then...

You Can Hear Him Speak!

Many of my businesses, ministry opportunities, and books have begun by hearing the Lord speak to me. In John 10:27, Jesus says, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them and they follow me.” I want to share with you four specific times in my life when I knew deep in my heart that God had spoken to me. #One: Isaiah 6:8 says, “Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, ‘Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?’ Then I said, ‘Here am I. Send me!’ ▶ "On November 22, 2016, I was invited to a Thanksgiving community service at a Catholic church in town. Preachers from various churches were coming together for a night of worship and testimony. They asked me to be a part of the testimony portion of the service, giving me ten minutes to speak. I took this opportunity before the Lord in prayer, asking what it was He wanted me to share, and I listened.   God spoke to my heart that despite the fact this was a service of thanksgiving, there would be people in the audience who would h...

Do You Need Permission to be Successful?

Don’t try to shove a square peg into a round hole – it simply will not fit. Not only will one be wasting their time, but this fruitless effort bathed in pride will be delaying precious fulfilling life-changing experiences one could know while working in and around that sweet spot known as your life’s  calling . One of my favorite verses that nails this subject to the wall is this ... Romans 11:29, "For God's gifts and His call are irrevocable." Nothing feels as liberating as working in the role to which you have a calling – be it ministry, a corporate position, a home based business, a stay at home mom role, birthing an invention or idea into fruition, public speaking on topics of our expertise, and any other scenario we are drawn to inwardly. We gravitate toward those things and that thrill in our belly with the butterflies proves that this is our "thing"! But on the contrast, simply put, one will feel at odds and miserable if we are beating out of sync  ...

Happy Birthday to You

My friends, I wonder if you are like me ... do you feel that Christmas has become something completely "other" than what we originally deemed the date for in celebration of the birthday of the Christ's birth on December 25? Although it's not the exact birthdate of Christ, the fact remains, we have set aside a time that is to be honoring of the biggest birthday that ever deserved to be celebrated. The gift of His birth was and is a massive gift to each of us that know Jesus Christ as Savior, and mostly as a reflection of the heart of the Creator Who knew this scrambled world needed a Deliverer even as long as 2000 years ago to effect all of eternity for so many. When we read through the book of Matthew, we learn He was born in a lowly way to a virgin mother, to die one day in a wicked excruciating manner on the cross, to rise from the dead, to breathe and flourish again in all of His perfection with those scars to prove it, so that we might live through Him and Him t...
