God Hears My Prayers

GOD Hears My Prayers

10 Promises that God hears, God knows, God sees, God cares...

  1. God is with me.
     I am not alone.
"And remember, I am with you always, even to the end of the age" (Matt. 28:20b).
   2. God hears my prayers.
"On the day I called, You answered me; and strengthened me in my soul" (Psalm 138:3).
    3.  God will give me the endurance I need.
"He gives power to the faint, and to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall" (Isa. 40:29-30).
   4. God's love will never leave me.
"For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, neither angels nor principalities nor powers, neither things present nor things to come, neither height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Rom. 8:38-39).
 5. God cares about my pain.
"Cast all your care upon Him, because He cares for you" (1 Pet. 5:7).
6. God is my help and strength, therefore, I can survive any situation.
"God is our refuge and strength, a well-proven help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea" (Ps. 46:1-2).
 7. God is loving, trustworthy, and faithful.
"For his merciful kindness is great toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever" (Ps. 117:2).
8. God is my source of hope.
"My soul, wait silently for God, for my hope is from Him" (Ps. 62:5).
9. God will sustain me in my hard times.
"God is my helper; the Lord is with those who support my life" (Ps. 54:4).
10. God is near when my heart is broken.
"The Lord is near to the broken-hearted, and saves the contrite of spirit" (Ps. 34:18).

Still Single? What's Wrong with You?

Years ago Elisabeth Elliot spoke at a women's conference at my church where I served as her tech attendant for speaking at the podium. In one of her sessions, I nearly fell off of the front row pew when I heard her say that she didn't care for "dating" and that it is a man-made tradition no where found in the Word of God. Suddenly everything I ever felt about this topic and the discomfort of the expectation of having a relationship made perfect sense and applauded the Lord and her for making my life whole at that moment. Everyone there, married or single, divorced or widowed, all came into hearty agreement as she dispelled some of the mess we have created by interacting dynamics of men and women outside of the Biblical way. It's Not What We Say, It's What We Do

It’s What We Do Our scripture verses for Today's Devotional are taken from 1 John 3:18 and James 2:14-26 . True love should reveal itself with practical acts of kindness. It’s very difficult to convince our unsaved loved ones or those we encounter in the workplace that Jesus is real unless we are willing to stretch out a hand of compassion, extending God’s love in a tangible way. 1 John 3:18 AMP Little children (believers, dear ones), let us not love [merely in theory] with word or with tongue [giving lip service to compassion], but in action and in truth [in practice and in sincerity, because practical acts of love are more than words]. James 2:14-26 NKJV 14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body
